What is Graphite?
Graphite is a crystalline form of carbon known for its exceptional thermal and electrical conductivity, chemical stability, and mechanical strength—even at extreme temperatures. It is widely used across industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, photovoltaics, EDM machining, metallurgy, and aerospace.
There are two main types of industrial graphite materials:
- Synthetic Graphite, produced from carbon-based precursors like petroleum coke through high-temperature graphitization.
- Natural Graphite, mined and processed from flake or vein graphite ores.
Each graphite form is tailored through molding, extrusion, or pressing to meet specific performance requirements—from fine-grain EDM electrodes to large-scale structural furnace components.
