Rayon-Based Graphite Felt
Max Graphite supplies rayon-based graphite felt to engineers and procurement teams operating in semiconductor manufacturing and broader high-temperature induction-furnace process industries, where ash content, fiber stability, and dimensional consistency are direct process variables. We produce both soft and rigid grades from cellulose-precursor fiber with continuous-furnace heat treatment and in-house purification, and supply standard formats through to fully machined geometries. Production scales from qualification samples to recurring multi-year programs.

Rayon-Based Graphite Felt for SiC and Semiconductor-Grade Furnace Insulation
Rayon-based graphite felt is specified where the insulation layer must remain electrically benign, structurally stable, and chemically clean under induction heating and vacuum cycling — in SiC substrate and epitaxy induction furnaces, third-generation semiconductor process tools, optical-fiber preform and drawing towers, and high-purity sintering and heat-treatment equipment. The cellulose-derived precursor delivers low ash, fine fiber structure, and minimal arc-discharge risk inside induction fields, which is why it is the precursor of choice when furnace yield is tied to insulation cleanliness.
- Soft and rigid forms from one supply line: Roll-goods soft felt for conformable lining and sealing work; rigid boards, cylinders, and machined components for structural hot-zone builds — held to the same purity standard.
- Multiple grades and finish options: Standard and high heat-treatment grades, with pyrocarbon coating and graphite-foil lamination available for extended service life under vapor-heavy or oxidizing-edge conditions.
- Low ash and stable fiber structure for induction duty: Continuous-furnace graphitization and dedicated purification lines control ash levels and fiber shedding run-to-run.
- Standard sizes plus full custom fabrication: Standard board, cylinder, and roll formats held in stock; CNC machining for liners, baffles, susceptor wraps, and complete furnace-liner kits to drawing.
- Capacity from prototype to series production: In-house heat-treatment and purification capacity sized for qualification builds through to recurring multi-year supply programs.

Why Specifying Teams Choose Max Graphite
One supplier for both rayon-based soft and rigid felt: The full precursor-specific product family delivered on a single commercial relationship.
Production capacity built for qualified, recurring supply: Continuous heat-treatment and purification lines sized for series production — not lab orders.
Engineering and custom fabrication on the same line: Direct technical contact, custom-grade development, and machined-to-drawing parts without external subcontracting.
When Rayon-Based Felt Is the Right Fit
Rayon, PAN, and pitch precursors each define a different operating envelope, and Max Graphite supplies all three from the same factory. Rayon-based felt is typically specified where induction heating, low ash, and fine fiber structure are the controlling process variables — SiC and third-generation semiconductor tools being the clearest example. PAN-based felt is more commonly specified into resistance-heated solar CZ and high-cycle vacuum heat-treatment builds. Pitch-based felt sits in first-generation silicon crystal growth and resistance-heated epitaxy environments where its conductivity profile is preferred. Buyers regularly specify across all three within a single hot-zone build.
