CFC Heating Elements
Max Graphite supplies CFC heating elements machined from laminate carbon fiber composite stock, for vacuum furnaces, inert gas heat treatment systems, sintering furnaces, and high-temperature brazing applications. We supply finished heaters to customer geometry or as semi-finished blanks ready for in-house machining, from a range of laminate grades including purified options for semiconductor and crystal growth environments. Single-source supply from material to finished component is available.

The Heater Your Furnace Performance Depends On
CFC heating elements are specified in demanding continuous-cycle furnace environments where dimensional stability, consistent resistivity, and long service life under repeated thermal cycling are non-negotiable. Max Graphite machines heaters from high-quality laminate C/C composite stock — including meander, serpentine, and custom-slot geometries — with the dimensional control and grade consistency that furnace OEMs and operators require for repeatable process performance. Our in-house CNC capability covers standard plate-based heater formats through to complex custom profiles, with short lead times on both standard grades and purified material for contamination-critical applications.
- Custom heater geometry: Meander, serpentine, and application-specific slot patterns machined to supplied drawings or developed in collaboration with your engineering team.
- Grade selection across laminate C/C: Multiple laminate grades available — differing in fiber architecture, density, and flexural properties — to match the electrical resistivity and mechanical load requirements of your specific furnace configuration.
- Purified grades for critical environments: Low-ash purified material available for semiconductor crystal growth, optical fiber production, and other processes where metallic contamination in the hot zone must be minimized.
- Semi-finished blank supply: Laminate CFC plates and blanks supplied for customer CNC machining, in addition to fully finished components, giving procurement flexibility across production volumes.
- Engineering and qualification support: Technical review of heater design, slot geometry, and grade selection available to support first-article qualification and performance optimization.
