Engineering Prototype Machinist
About the Role
As an Engineering Prototype Machinist at Max Graphite, you’ll work closely with our R&D and engineering teams to transform design concepts into precise parts, tooling, and fixtures that support prototype development, validation, and early production activities. Your expertise in machining, tooling design, and fabrication will play a key role in accelerating product development cycles and maintaining world-class manufacturing standards in graphite and advanced materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain manual and CNC machine tools to produce prototypes, fixtures, jigs, and custom components.
- Interpret engineering sketches, drawings, and CAD files to accurately fabricate parts to specification.
- Design and build tooling, dies, and fixtures to support prototype and pilot projects.
- Collaborate with engineers to review project requirements and suggest improvements to fabrication methods, tooling, and designs.
- Estimate machining time and prepare related manufacturing orders with accurate project details.
- Manage machine shop tools, fixtures, and consumables; coordinate inventory and maintenance.
- Support cross-functional development activities including R&D test pieces, one-off parts, and process proof-of-concepts.
- Embrace new machining technologies, methods, and materials to continuously improve prototype output quality and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
Educational Background:
- Minimum vocational diploma / Technical secondary school in Machining, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is a plus for candidates with strong experience.
Experience & Skills:
- 3+ years experience in a machine shop environment with hands-on machining responsibilities (manual and CNC).
- Proficient in machine setup, tool selection, and machining strategy for parts requiring tight tolerances.
- Solid understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and fabrication best practices.
- Familiarity with CAD (e.g., SolidWorks) and/or CAM software a strong advantage.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) and perform quality checks.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced development environment.
- Team player with a proactive work style and effective communication skills.
Preferred Technical Knowledge:
- CNC manual programming experience (DRO systems, basic CNC setup).
- Experience with prototyping techniques (rapid tooling, fixture design).
- Basic welding, soldering, and brazing skills.

作为 Max Graphite 的工程样机加工技师，你将与研发和工程团队紧密合作，将设计概念快速、准确地转化为高精度样件、工装和夹具，用于产品研发、验证及试制阶段。

岗位职责
- 操作和维护 手动机床及 CNC 机床，加工样机零件、工装、夹具及定制部件
- 根据工程图纸、草图或 CAD 文件，完成高精度零件加工
- 设计并制作工装、夹具和辅助工具，支持样机与试制项目
- 与工程师协作，参与工艺评审，提出加工方法和结构优化建议
- 评估加工工时，协助制定样机制造计划和工艺流程
- 负责机加工设备、刀具、夹具的日常管理与维护
- 支持研发测试件、小批试制及工艺验证工作
- 持续学习和应用新的加工工艺、设备及材料，提高样机制造质量与效率
任职要求
学历要求：
- 机械制造、数控技术、机电一体化等相关专业
- 中专 / 大专及以上学历
- 本科（机械工程等相关专业）优先，但不作为硬性要求
经验与技能：
- 3 年及以上 机加工或样机制造相关工作经验
- 熟练进行机床装夹、刀具选择及加工工艺规划
- 能够独立阅读和理解机械图纸、尺寸公差及基本 GD&T
- 熟练使用 游标卡尺、千分尺、量规等测量工具
- 具备良好的问题分析和现场解决能力
- 责任心强，能在研发节奏较快的环境中稳定输出
加分项：
- 熟悉 CAD（如 SolidWorks）或 CAM 软件
- 具备 CNC 简单编程或调机经验（DRO / 基础 CNC）
- 有样机加工、工装夹具设计经验
- 掌握基础焊接、钎焊或装配技能
